Abstract
In January 2025, the presenter was part of an Australian delegation that visited South Korea to understand the South Korean experience in delivering nuclear power plant projects both domestically and internationally.
What was observed was truly fascinating, in how secure and sovereign supply chains and a highly skilled technical engineering workforce allows for nuclear projects to be designed, planned and delivered in a highly effective and efficient manner. Jasmin will share insights and lessons from this visit.
This seminar will include case studies of both domestic nuclear power plants and international nuclear power plants designed, built and commissioned by South Korea.
Within the Q&A session, there will be an opportunity to discuss how the AUKUS nuclear powered submarine support workforce might be expanded for other applications of nuclear energy.
