Engineers Australia’s Chief Engineer Jane MacMaster will expand on the recent article in Create magazine ‘How does the AUKUS submarine program affect Australian engineers?’ to explain how Engineers Australia is engaged in developing the involvement of the engineering profession in Australia to support the construction, operation and sustainment of nuclear-powered submarines.

Retired Royal Naval nuclear submarine engineering head of department Peter Bullard will describe the safety culture, security and nuclear technology imperatives for engineering workforce practice and career development.
