Membership

The Australian Nuclear Association (ANA) welcomes new members.

The Australian Nuclear Association (ANA) is the national body for nuclear professionals and those interested in nuclear science and technology in Australia.

We have three grades of members –

  • Full Members for applicants with expertise or experience in nuclear science and technology
  • Associate Members for those with an interest in nuclear science and technology but no direct experience or expertise.
  • Student Members studying full time at an Australian University who have an interest in nuclear science and technology.

Only Full Members are entitled to vote at general meetings, be elected to the Committee and to hold office.

The annual membership subscription for Full and Associate Members is $50, Subscription for Students Members is free.  Full and Associate Members will receive an invoice for the membership fee once their membership application has been accepted by the Committee.

Student Membership lapses on graduation and gaining full time employment when the Student Member will have the option of applying to become a Full or Associate Member.

All membership applications are assessed by the ANA Committee on the basis of the person’s experience and interest in nuclear science and technology including management and policy aspects.

    Reciprocal Membership

    The ANA accepts Reciprocal Membership for members of the Nuclear Institute of the UK in good standing. Reciprocal membership gives NI members the member-rate access to conferences, workshops, and webinars organised by ANA, access to ANA publications and email communications, and other membership benefits. Members of the Nuclear Institute can apply for reciprocal membership of ANA by completing the form at https://www.nuclearaustralia.org.au/reciprocal-membership-for-ni-members/

    ANA members are eligible for reciprocal membership of the Nuclear Institute of UK. Contact the ANA Secretary at ANA@nuclearaustralia.org.au for instruction for applying for NI reciprocal membership.
