WORLD NUCLEAR UNIVERSITY

The World Nuclear University was inaugurated formally in London on 4 September 2003 with a program of eminent international speakers from all of the world’s foremost organisations including former and present Director-Generals of the IAEA and OECD/NEA. Mr John Ritch, Director-General of the World Nuclear Association, which developed the WNU concept, summarised the objectives as to:

The WNU has a network of institutions from some 30 countries coordinated from a small core headquarters in London supported by governmental and private sponsors. The four major founding supporters were the IAEA, the OECD/NEA, The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and the World Nuclear Association. ANSTO is one of the WNU Member organisations.
